17 August 2026

Current documentation baseline for the native macOS capture studio.

  • Clipboard-first screenshot flow saves raw PNGs to the dated local library and copies them immediately.
  • Region and main-display selection share the screenshot and recording overlay.
  • Annotations, framing, shader settings, and recording trims remain non-destructive in JSON sidecars.
  • Recording supports 120, 60, 30, and 15 fps choices plus stereo system audio; microphone input is reserved for shader visuals, not narration.
  • GLSL import documents Image/Main, Common, up to four ordered buffers, supported previous-frame feedback, and explicit rejection diagnostics.
  • Cloud remains a future optional hosted service; local capture and editing do not depend on it.

How to read these notes

Dates describe the shipped build or documentation update being recorded. They are not freshness tricks: a claim should change here only when the product or its support contract changes.
